As passionate members of the Ohio Cannabis Health and Business Summit community, we wanted to remind you of an essential date just around the corner—Tuesday, November 7th.
Vote YES on Issue 2 for Adult-Use Cannabis Legalization in Ohio
Issue 2 offers a groundbreaking chance to legalize adult-use cannabis for individuals aged 21 and older right here in Ohio. This initiative aligns with our mission to promote cannabis education, innovation, and sustainable growth in the Buckeye State.
Why Your Vote Counts
Your vote has the power to foster positive change in our state. By supporting Issue 2, you will contribute to:
Social Equity and Inclusion: Issue 2 prioritizes social equity, ensuring that people of color have the opportunity to participate in the growing cannabis industry. Found in Section 3780.18. Purpose of cannabis social equity and jobs program and Section 3780.19.
Home Grow: Patients and consumers will have the right to cultivate up to six cannabis plants (12 per household) for personal use, empowering individuals to take control of their health and well-being. Found in Section 3780.29. Home Grow.
Economic Growth: Legalizing adult-use cannabis will generate jobs, boost local businesses, and provide a much-needed economic uplift with a 10% tax on all sales that support the following funds:
(1) The adult use tax fund;
(2) The cannabis social equity and jobs fund;
(3) The host community cannabis fund;
(4) The substance abuse and addiction fund; and
(5) The division of cannabis control and tax commissioner fund.
